YELLOW
Focus of Group: Master basic swimming terminology, learn how to swim a set
The YELLOW group swimmers work will emphasize proper stroke technique. The swimmers at this level will be introduced to the basics of training techniques. They will be taught how to use a pace clock in order to execute swimming sets.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Swim 100 Freestyle - Swim without stopping within 5:00 with flipturns
Swim 50 Backstroke - Swim without stopping within 3:00 with flipturns
Swim 25 Breaststroke - Be able to swim it or show it on land. The goal is to understand the concept
Swim 25 Butterfly - Be able to swim or show it on land. The goal is to understand the concept
Meets - Swimmers in YELLOW are encouraged to swim all of the Summer League Meets, at least 2 developmental meets, and work toward qualifying times for the Championship Meet.
Practice - Long Course (Summer): Practice is 1 hour & 20 min. and is offered on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Swimmers are encouraged to attend practice 3 times per week, but are welcome to come all 4 days. We really encourage you to come to as much as you can in the Summer as there is very little time between meets.
Short Course (Fall/Winter): Practice is 1 hour & 20 min. and is offered on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday. Swimmers are encouraged to attend practice 3 times per week, but are welcome to come all 4 days.
