USA Swimming
USA Swimming is the national governing body for swimming in the United States. EAC participates to provide swimmers additional competitive (and learning) opportunities. Participation requires a USA registration fee and team invitation. Once you are registered, you may choose which team events you wish to attend and pay a fee per event you sign up for.

Our LSC (Local Swim Committee) is Middle Atlantic Swimming (MA) and our club code is EAC. Meets may be more competitive and give the swimmers a chance to swim events they don’t normally swim. Events like 100 and 200 of each stroke, 200 and 400 IM and 500, 1000, and 1650 Free. This level of swimming is for swimmers who are engaged in learning the sport, increasing competitiveness and want to work towards achieving time cuts for larger championship meets.

We attend generally seven to nine meets during the season while working toward achieving qualifying times for Junior Champs, Senior Champs, Silver Champs, and Eastern Zone Champs in March/early April. Most meet locations will be fairly local. We typically travel to Cumberland Valley, Hershey, F&M in Lancaster and one to two travel meets further away.

Meet Format
○ Meets generally run 2-3 days with 2-3 sessions per day.
○ Swimmers don’t have to swim every day of the meet. They can pick one day which has
the events they want to swim or both days. You can fit it into your schedule.
