TOPS WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS - 4/29/24
Today was the first day of our clinic. The weather was spectacular. The water, perfect, and it was great to see our returning swimmers and meet our new clinic swimmers. The pool is in great condition due to the daily commitment of Coach Bill and TOPS parent, Danielle Lowrey. As always, thank you for going above and beyond for our swimmers.
*This Saturday is our first morning practice for the season for our 13 and older swimmers. An event link will be created for our 13 and older swimmers to commit. Please commit by this Thursday. For those who are swimming LC, attendance at this practice is strongly encouraged. It is essential for you to be properly conditioned for the upcoming LC meets.
REMINDER: *For our swimmers who are committed to swim in our LC meets, you must participate in the swim clinic in order to be adequately prepared to compete **If you are not registered, you will not swim in the meets. This is not a unique expectation, but one that is articulated in many clubs, and in other sports.
*The recommended training commitment has not changed. 10/under swimmers - 3-4 practices a week ; 12/under swimmers - 4-5 practices per week; 13 and older swimmers - 5-6 practices per week.
USA SUMMER LC MEETS
We are successfully entered in three LC meets this season.
MIDDLE ATLANTIC LC CHAMPIONSHIPS - We will participate in three LC championships. All these championship meets require a swimmer meet a time standard.
-Junior Championships will be held at Franklin and Marshall on July 19-21.
-Silver Championships will be held at GCIT (Sewell, NJ) on July 26-28th.
-ISCA- St. Petersburg, FL for our older swimmers will be held July 23-27th.

Congratulations to Dalton Fink for earning Men's Swimming Philadelphia Inquirer/PhillySIDA Academic All-Area team.
From WCU Men's Swimming
Swimmers are recognized for their academic excellence in the classroom as well as in the pool. For Fink, it is his second PhillySIDA academic award.
The 2023-24 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Swimming & Diving Team includes student-athletes from seven different institutions across all three NCAA divisions. Fink is one of 10 student-athletes named to the 2023-24 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Swimming & Diving Team. The team is nominated and voted on by the sports information offices of 30 colleges and universities in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area.
