Michigan Swimming Para Swimming Survey The Michigan Para Swimming committee has received multiple inquiries from parents and athletes looking for teams that are interested and actively coaching para athletes. We plan on promoting and publishing a list of teams in our state that support this program. A Para Athlete is defined as someone with a permanent "Physical (e.g. limited range of motion, low muscle tone, dwarfism, limb difference, missing limbs), visual (significant visual impairment), intellectual impairment, and hearing.
