Honors and Awards at Red Wing Swim Club
At Red Wing Swim Club, we proudly celebrate the dedication and hard work of our swimmers through a range of honors and awards, including the esteemed Samantha Rose Kriese Memorial Award, the ongoing Distance Honors Top 20 Recognition, and the Parent Award. These accolades not only highlight outstanding individual achievements but also reflect the commitment and perseverance each swimmer brings to their training.
The Red Wing Swim Club believes that every swimmer can become a Champion by developing their Pillars of a Champion. focusing on four areas:
-
Character: Swimmers are recognized for their integrity, responsibility, and sportsmanship. We value those who support their teammates and demonstrate leadership both in the water and within the team.
-
Commitment: We celebrate dedication and perseverance. Swimmers who consistently attend practices, actively participate in meets, and exceed expectations are acknowledged for their unwavering drive.
-
Confidence: Award recipients display a positive self-image and a willingness to embrace challenges, stepping outside their comfort zones and believing in their potential for success.
-
Concentration: Swimmers who maintain focus, control their strength, and invest effort into improving their techniques are commended for their disciplined approach to training.
The Champion Award is bestowed upon those who best embody all these qualities, exemplifying what it truly means to be a leader.
Each spring these awards are presented at our annual awards ceremony to individuals from each age group who embody the qualities of our core values. They are a testament to the remarkable efforts of our athletes and an inspiration to continue striving for excellence.
