GNST Relay Team Breaks Three Midwestern Swimming Records Lincoln, Nebraska - March 21, 2011 -  Three, long standing Midwestern Swimming relay records have been broken by Greater Nebraska Swim Team’s 11-12 year old girls relay team.   Congratulations, Gnst 2011 Short Course Championship Swimmers! High Point Winners(and sisters), Dannie Dilsaver (11-12 girls)and Kate Dilsaver (8 & Under girls), helped lead the team to a 2nd place finish! Gnst top finishers: Anna Coffey, (8 & Under girls); Berkeley Livingston, 3rd place (9-10 girls); Paige Silverberg, 4th place (9-10 girls); Katie Stonehocker, 6th place (9-10 girls); Jordan Coffey, 5th place (9-10 boys), Linzie Kreizel, 4th place (11-12 girls), Emma Vertin, 5th place (11-12 girls); Caroline Theil, 7th place (11-12 girls); Logan Kreizel, 11th place (11-12 boys).

  19 Gnst swimmers competed in the 2011 D1 13 & over Championship Meet.  Top finishers were: Vlad Blazhievskiy, 2nd overall in the 13-14 boys group; Amy Fischer, 3rd overall in the 13-14 girls group; and Andrew Nelson, 7th in the 15 & Over boys group.  Other swimmers scoring individual points for Gnst are Abby Lunzmann, Elijah Malsbury, Isaac Craig, Carly Twehous, Bridgette Hafner, Kirk O'Connell, Walker Weatherly, and Devin Jensen. 

We are excited to announce that 14 Gnst swimmers from five different schools competed in the 2011 Nebraska State High School Swim Meet, February 25th & 26th. Their hard work throughout both the pre-season and high school season paid off!   

A new Midwestern Swimming record has been set by GNSTʼs 11-12 year old girls 400 yard medley relay team with a time of 4:19.45. The 400 medley relay is 100 yards each of the four competitive swim strokes; backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle. Emma Vertin, 7th grader from Crete Middle School; Dannie Dilsaver, 6th grader from Scott Middle School; Linzie Kreizel, 7th grader from Lincoln Lutheran Middle School; and Caroline Theil, 5th grader from St. Joseph School, traveled to Brown Deer, Wisconsin, to compete in the 2011 Schroeder A+ meet....

GNST swimmer Caroline Theil makes USA Swimming's Top 10 Preview List in the 11 year old girls 200 Breast Stroke with a time of 2:36.79 and the 11 year old girls 100 Freestyle with a time of 56.73!

Congrats to our 2011 All Stars Team!  Nine GNST swimmers qualified for the 2011 Midwestern All Star Team that traveled to Lawrence, Kansas for the meet.  They competed in a total of 50 individual events and were all chosen to swim in the relay events.  Athletes from Colorado, Iowa, Missouri Valley, Ozark, and South Dakota's All Star Teams also participated.  Midwestern was 3rd overall with 1017.50 points.  Coach Clayton was chosen to coach the 11-12 girls team.  

Congrats, Dannie, for making the USA Swimming, 2010-2011 GIRLS TOP 10 PREVIEW LIST!  Dannie's hard work and fast swims are paying off! She is currently ranked 6th in the nation in the 11 year old girls, 200 Butterfly with a SCY time of 2:18.70 and 19th in the nation in the 1000 Freestyle with a SCY time of 11:37.31!
