The last day of juniors our GNST swimmers are still going strong, Caroline started the day with a fast 200 back swimming a 2:03.26 breaking the 13-14 MW record. Dannie's 200 breast was a blazing 2:17.08, this swim qualified her for her 2nd final. Dannie's 200 breast was also a 15-16 MW record bringing the total of MW records set by the GNST girls to 7!!!! Dannie breaks two more MW records with a 4:18.56 in her 400 IM, her time was 12th out of 104 entered athletes and brings her back to finals tonight. Our young GNST swimmers are having a great experience in North Carolina, watch Dannie compete tonight online at USAswimming.org.
Four swims, three new MW records and four personal best times! Caroline 200IM 2:04.69 placed her 93rd. Dannie 200IM 2:02.78 placed her 33rd out of 212 top USA 18U girls. Dannie's IM time is a new 15-16MW record & a MW Senior record. Caroline lowered her 50 free time during time trials to 24:52, and Dannie swam a 2:04.67 200 fly during time trials to set another 15-16MW record! Here are a couple of important announcements regarding the meet this weekend: 1. Saturday's session will present some minor challenges with the NU vs. Penn St. volleyball match that evening. A parking fee will be collected for the afternoon and evening sessions of our swim meet. Additionally, we were informed last night that we will not have locker rooms available for use for swimmers after 2pm. Please plan accordingly. 2. Friday Practice -- Time Change All practices on Friday, November 22nd will be from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at LNE except for White group, which will practice at the normal time from 5:30 – 6:30 pm at LNE.
