We are pleased to continue Kinston Site for the 2024-2025 season! The Kinston Satellite of the ECA is still growing and will be looking to add members to grow from an impressive growth of the summer league team.

Communication is very important to the success of the team.  Our website is updated frequently with new information, so check it often.

We communicate most important information team wide by e-mail.  Please be sure to add all emails you would like CC'd on team communication to your account.

We will ascribe group names as the program develops to fall in line with other sites and the main structure of ECA.

Kinston 1 is a more introductory group.
Kinston 2 is the more advanced group.
 
This is not split based on number of days a swimmer can/will swim but rather ability and/or age.

Costs:

Registration fee is $82 for the year.

All members must be USA Swimming member $5 - Directions will be sent in the beginning of September

Kinston 1:  $80/month

Kinston 2: $110/month

 

Practice:

  • Swimmers should arrive 10 minutes before scheduled practice begins and should be picked up within 10 minutes of the completion of practice.

  • Thunder & lightning policy: The Kinston Community Center has a policy of clearing the pool at the sound of thunder or flash of lightning.  The pool does not reopen until 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder or flash of lightning.

  • Swimmers are not required to come to every practice; however, the more they train, the better they will perform at meets.

  • Parents are allowed to watch practice but please do not interact with the coaches starting 5 minutes prior to practice and while practice is occuring.

Behavior:

  • Unruly or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.  Swimmers disrupting practice may be removed from practice.

  • Swimmers are expected to be on task and to be respectful of the coaches and other swimmers.

Meets:

  • Meet attendance is strongly encouraged, but is not required.

  • Meets give the swimmer a measurable result of training.

  • Meet dues vary from $20.00-$105.00 per meet. Cost is set based on meet entry fees, coaches’ travel and other associated costs.

  • Many meets are located within a 1.5 hour driving radius.  Most in Greenville or Morehead City.

  • Transportation to the meets is the responsibility of the parent unless explicitly stated.
