Interested in joining Our Team?

SwimMAC Carolina is a competitive swim team covering a wide range of abilities at each age level. We are part of USA Swimming and North Carolina Swimming and we are a non-profit organization. The SwimMAC program is designed to build competitive swimmers and great student-athletes from 7 or 8 years old through high school graduation. SwimMAC is operated by a professional staff of over 30 coaches and governed by a Board of Directors, with a LOT of help from parent volunteers through the year. Joining SwimMAC is a family commitment to the long term growth of your swimmer and a commitment to help the entire organization reach our goals.

WHO can join SwimMAC?

We invite swimmers who can demonstrate the skills and characteristics appropriate for our program levels to join our team. We have auxiliary programs and pre-competitive programs to help swimmers reach the necessary proficiencies to be successful at SwimMAC. We will strive to provide resources to keep any interested swimmer in the sport as best we can!  Contact us to see where your swimmer fits in the SwimMAC program.  Learn more about our competitive levels here.

WHAT is the process to join SwimMAC?

You can read more about the commitment requirements for membership in the New Members Registration Packet . These requirements include Annual dues, a Fundraising commitment, a Service Hours commitment, and any additional travel, swim meet, or event expenses as part of the program. The process to join will always follow these steps:

  1. CONTACT SwimMAC: use the contact us tab above or follow the prompts at our swimmaccarolina.org website to have a staff member contact you regarding membership.

  2. Be EVALUATED at a tryout or scheduled evaluation (for 13 and over swimmers this may be a day or two at our practices).

  3. A staff member will contact you following your evaluation with a process to REGISTER for the competitive team. This online process will set you up with an online portal for communication, payments, meet and event information, and more. You will then be directed to a location and roster group with a lead coach who will be your primary contact for your student-athletes season. Registration for each season (starting in late August) will be open to existing members in late Spring/early summer.

WHERE can families join SwimMAC?

SwimMAC Carolina operates a North (Huntersville, Davidson, Concord NC) location and a South (Charlotte) location. Both locations offer the SAME programs and levels of competitive team swimming. The instruction, meets, and requirements for both locations are the same. A swimmers' experience at each site may differ with each coach or facility. Based on where you live, when you contact us we will direct you to the appropriate location and setup an evaluation there.
