Guidelines for Practices

The only requirement to be an "OTTER" is the ability to safely have fun. The following guidelines are to help us have as much fun as possible while staying safe.

  • Swimmers are asked to arrive no more than 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled practice time and to be on the deck ready to swim no less than 5 minutes before their scheduled practice time. Help with getting equipment out and ready for team use is greatly appreciated.
  • At the end of practice all swimmers are asked to leave the deck promptly after all equipment has been put away.
  • While waiting for practice or rides home, the only areas swimmers may be in are:
    • Locker rooms (15 minutes)
    • Balcony - in the seats not running around
    • In hallway outside of balcony doors
    • NO WHERE ELSE

Parents please arrange to be ready to pick your swimmer up at the correct time.

·         DO NOT ask them to call you when they are ready.

·         Once swimmers leave the deck they are not the responsibility of a coach.

General pool and team rules

·         No "horseplay", no destruction of equipment or property, and no "pranks" are allowed.

·         No running, pushing, or shoving at any time.

·         No GLASS of any sort is allowed in or around the pool / shower / team areas.

·         Swimmers are encouraged to attend a minimum of two practices a week in order to show improvement.
