Bill Reeves joined the Otter coaching staff in 2022. He has been coaching swimming for 30+years.  Bill is currently the coach for the Oster River High School Swimming and Diving Team School coach and teaches at ORHS.  His father was the first coach of the Otters for 25+ years starting in the 1960s to mid- 1980s and he swam for the Otters through high school.

As of April 1st, 2023 Bill is the new Head Coach of the Oyster River Otters swim team. 

Sarah Downey has been coaching Otters swimmers since the fall of 2006. She loved swimming  recreationally as a child and was always in the pool. She swam for her prep school her senior year after her lifeguard instructor encouraged her to try out and at that point, found a new love for competitive swimming. She spent summers up in the Green Mountains at a girls overnight camp as a Waterfront Counselor, teaching swim lessons and at the old Durham Outdoor pool teaching and lifeguarding while a student at UNH. It was during this time in college, she discovered Great Bay Masters, and continues to practice and compete with the Masters group today. Her favorite events are distance freestyle, IM and fly.   Recently, she has delved into open water swimming and has done both local, regional and international open water events.  She has worked with all ages of swimmers and has raised three swimmers of her own, who have swum for both the Otters and Oyster River High School programs. She enjoys working with swimmers on stroke technique, pacing and challenge sets.  

Leane Redden joined the Otters coaching staff in 2020.  Leane was born and raised in NH.  At the age of 8 she discovered the world of competitive swimming and never looked back!  She has two swimmers on the team - Addison and Breeanne.   As of April 1st, 2024 she has also taken on the additional role as our Team Administrator. 

Mickey is joining the Coaching Stafff in April 2025, prior to he was the Assistant Coach for Age Group Swim Team - at Fox Valley YMCA - Aqua Force , Oct. 2009 - Feb. 2010,  he is currently the Head Swim Coach Mens & Womens Varsity Swim at Newmarket High School, NH - 2021 - 2025 . Promoted to Associatred Coach after the Summer Season prior to starting the Fall/Winter Season.

Ryan Johnson joined the Otters coaching staff in 2021. He is a local pediatrician at Dover Pediatrics and a competitive triathlete. His daughter, Emma, has been an Otter swimmer since 2018.

Maggie was an former Otter swimmer and junior Coach back in 2020. She has been doing swim lesson coordinator, swim instructor and lifeguarding for UNH Aquatics from 2019. She is currently attending the University of New England and will be majoring in Athletic traning. She will re-join the Otters coaching Staff while she is on break from college.

Caitie joined the Otters coaching staff in 2024. She was a competitive swimmer for 13 years in upstate NY where she swam for the Delmar Dolfins. Her favorite events were the 100 back and 500 free. She is currently a junior at UNH studying Biomedical sciences and is part of the coaching staff during the academic year. 

Niel Stender joined the Otters coaching staff in 2024. He grew up swimming for the local YMCA and his high school team in New Jersey. He currently swims with the Great Bay Masters and competes in local triathlons. His three kids, Milan, Maren, and Hendrick are Otters swimmers.

Adam joined the Otters as diving coach in the 2023/24 Fall/winter season.
