Mexico Tiger Sharks is a local swim club affiliated with USA Swimming and the Niagara LSC. Members of our team are part of 300,000 swimmers across the nation who compete at nearly 3,000 USA Swimming clubs. Our home is the Mexico High School pool, however we draw swimmers from most of the surrounding towns. We feature a 6 lane, 25 yard pool in a bright, spacious facility.

The Tiger Sharks were founded by John & Cathy O'Brien in 1993, primarly to serve as a start up program for the Mexico CSD modified & varsity swim programs. Over the past 25 years, the team has grown signifcantly and now features athletes that have trained and competed at the NCAA Divison I level, as well as qualifying for several USA Swimming National level competitions.

Try-outs for our competitive team are held year round, but a large group try-out is held at the beggining of our Fall Session in August/September. Swimmers are evaluated but typically require a minimum of being able to swim 25 Freestyle and 25 Backstroke to be placed in our introductory group. If you are new to swimming, the Mexico CSD Learn-to-Swim Program is a great option and has several of our senior swimmers as instructors.
