2026 Applicant Requirements:

• All swimmers must be 14 or younger as of the first day of the meet (January 3, 2026)
• Swimmers must be 2026 registered as year-round members of USA Swimming
• Applicants' times must be achieved during the qualifying period of September 1, 2025 through December 21, 2025
• All times submitted must be in the USA Swimming SWIMS database in order to be considered (unless there is acceptable alternative information that is set by the head coach and team coordinator). It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s coach or team to ensure that all times have been processed into the SWIMS database for meets during the qualifying period or cleared with the head coach and team coordinator. Times not in the SWIMS database or not cleared with the head coach and team coordinator will not be considered.

• All application entry times will be verified in the SWIMS database.  Times that conform to the qualifying criteria will be marked as “approved” on the Team Ohio Team Unify website. If an applicant's time doesn't conform to the qualifying criteria, the next fastest conforming time will be entered (and alternative information will be considered). Swimmers will not be notified of these changes in times. If no conforming time exists for an event, the applicant will be notified via email. Applicants will be provided with a short deadline to provide a conforming time. Only those times posted as "approved" will be considered for the 2026 team.
• Applicants will be notified once the times have been processed and “Approved." There will be a brief window for applicants to challenge any rejected or slower times.  Then the team selection process will be completed according to the posted selection criteria.  During this process, the “Approved” status will be removed from all of the applicant’s times.
• It is the responsibility of the swimmer to provide his/her own transportation and hotel arrangements.  This is not a team travel trip.

Application process:

• Register your athlete(s) using the Green “2026 Team Application” button located on the home page.  Please be sure to use the correct USA Swimming ID when entering your swimmer’s information.
• Provide emergency medical information
• Electronically Agree to the Code of Conduct form
• Pay the $10 refundable application fee using a credit or debit card. The application fee will be applied towards the total cost of $130 for members selected for the 2026 team.  All other application fees will be refunded. 

CONFIRMATION:

• You will receive a confirmation of your registration via e-mail within 48 hours of submitting your registration.
• PLEASE NOTE: applicants must allow 48 hours for accounts to be activated after submitting registration for 2026 team.  Accounts must be activated by Team Ohio personnel before swimmers can be "committed" to the 2026 meet and select events.
• Applicants are encouraged to submit applications well before the deadline.  Times for the applicant's selected events will be updated after the application deadline (Application times will be updated/finalized on December 22, 2025 following conclusion of all qualifying meets on December 21, 2025).
• Once you have received confirmation of your account being activated, then "Commit" your athlete(s) to the meet and select all of the events for which he or she would like to be considered.  This is done at the “Events” tab located in the tool bar.  There is no limit to how many events a swimmer may apply for but a swimmer will not be selected for more than 6 individual events.
