RECAP:

Team Ohio sends 164 athletes and places 2nd overall at the Zone meet held in Rochester, MN.  Despite being dwarfed by the 235-strong home state of Minnesota,  Ohio athletes rack up a whopping 31 points per athlete and kept it close all the way to the end. The 10 & under girls and 11-12 boys won their age groups.  18 Ohio Athletes hauled in a total of 34 Gold medals, earning them the title of "Zone Champion".

INDIVIDUAL HIGH POINT SCORERS:

For the age groups, the 10 & under girls dominated the age group and finished 1st overall, led by individual scoring leaders Kaitlyn Sallows from BKYS (3rd), Taylor Bacher from RAYS (4th), Hayden Hollingsworth from UASC (6th), Addie Robillard from RAYS (9th), Clarke Neace from DR (11th), Lauren Moorhead from OSSC (12th), and Katelyn Smittle from DR (13th).  The 10un boys finished 2nd overall behind scoring leaders Jason Zhao from BASH (4th), Chase Dillon from CM (5th), Luke Axline from NAAC (9th), and Andrew Huang from BKYS (15th).  The 11-12 girls finished 2nd overall behind scoring leaders Lainy Kruger from CLPR (10th), Abby Woolford from DR (11th), and Libby Grether from USA (13th).  The 11-12 boys finished 1st overall behind scoring leaders Grant Kennedy (1st), Carson Bruner from WTRC (2nd), Scotty Buff from GTAC (3rd), Kyle Fulton from GTAC (4th) Hansen Lee from GTAC (10th), and Dean Sherrer from DCST (16th).  The 13-14 girls finished 2nd overall behind scoring leaders Marie Belli from OSSC (10th) and Maci Swearington from OSSC (14th).  The 13-14 boys finished 2nd overall behind scoring leaders Carl Bloebaum from RAYS (2nd), Tom House from DR (9th), Wesley Schauer from DR (12th), and Mason Peck from OSSC (12th).

Adapted Athletes Carson Bruner from WTRC, age 12, and Hanna Lebamoff from DR, age 14, both won overall High Point for their age group.
