Volunteer Sign-Ups Are Now Posted
Volunteer Sign-Ups are now available for the 2012 Spring into Summer Splash which will be held June 1-3.
Nearly 200 four-hour volunteer shifts need to be filled for this event to run smoothly. The event will be run in a two-pool racing format for two of the five sessions, which means that twice as many timers are needed than during times when we run only one-pool racing (44 timers/session vs. 22 timers/session). Support in other positions, including officiating, is needed as well.
104 of our OSSC swimmers, from 85 families, will competing in this meet. To fill these shifts, we need each family to volunteer for at least two four-hour shifts. It is appreciated that even families of non-competing swimmers volunteer for at least one shift as well.
Help from community volunteers, and families of visiting teams, is welcomed. Service vouchers will be provided upon request. Volunteers who do not have log-in access to our website may contact [email protected] to express interest in volunteering. When emailing AQEvents, please state your name, cell phone number, visiting team or service group affiliation (if applicable), as well as the session/date for which you would like to volunteer.
Similar support will be needed for the upcoming Mike Peppe-John Bruce Memorial Invitational to be held July 6-8, 2012.
