2012 - 2013 Registration Now Open for the OSSC
The Ohio State Swim Club will open online registration for the 2012-2013 season on Monday, July 9, for current team members and their siblings, and on Monday, July 16, for new swimmers to the club.
The Ohio State Swim Club is a USA Swimming age-based, competitive swim team with the goal of improving swimmers' physical development through practice and competition. The team, comprised of elementary through college-age swimmers based in the Columbus area, competes in local, national, and international USA Swimming events. Swimmers are placed into levels of pre-competitive, novice, bronze, silver, gold, platinum, senior, national or part-time pre-season high school groups based on age and ability.
New this fall is a pre-competitive group that provides those who are new to competitive swimming the opportunity to bridge from swim lessons to swim team. This program will help swimmers build their confidence in the competitive pool and establish the needed skills and motivation for competitive swimming. Swimmers who begin in pre-competitive group may continue in until they are ready to move up to the swim team.
