KMSC Boosters have an excellent opportunity to raise funds for our booster club, while also supporting Oklahoma Swimming and the sport our children enjoy so much. From Aug. 1-3, OCCC will be host to the Central Zones 14 & Under Swimming Championships, a meet that showcases the top swimmers in nine LSCs, including nearby neighbors Arkansas and Kansas and faraway states such as North Dakota and Wisconsin. Chocolate milk may give swimmers an advantage when they consume it as a recovery drink. The new findings by Indiana University researchers were released at the American College of Sports Medicine's annual conference. Researchers found that when collegiate swimmers recovered with chocolate milk after an intensive swim, they swam faster in time trials the same day.  “Chocolate milk is an ideal recovery drink. Congratulations to Craig Tompkins for being selected to attend the Central Zone Select Camp on May 22-25 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Craig, who is the only Oklahoma swimmer on the camp roster, was selected based on his IMX score.  The Zone Select Camps, held in the four zones across the country, are an opportunity to identify emerging young athletes and offer them a unique motivational and educational experience. USA Swimming's IMX series calculates scores for swimmers in each age group based on power points awarded to certain events. Learn more here....
