Team suits are in!
Hello,
The team suit order has arrived, and the suits will be distributed this week starting tomorrow. Please have them try it on right away and don't remove the tags until you know it's a keeper. Personalized caps are about 2-3 weeks out. Those that didn't order personalized caps will receive caps this week.
NST Halloween Party will be Monday, October 30, 3:45-5. All group level fun with treats and snacks. Seniors will have practice after 5-6 p.m. Sign up for volunteer spots for snacks and decorations at team website home page under events or click HERE.
NST Team Photo Day will be Wednesday, November 1, at 4:30. Individual photos will be taken first followed by the team photo. There will be no swim practice for Bronze, Silver, and Gold groups this day, but there will be a yoga session on deck starting at 3:45 for all groups. Seniors will have swim practice after team photo. We will have the new team t-shirts distributed by this date. Please wear the new team t-shirt and dark shorts or pants. After the photo session there will be a link sent out to order individual and team photos. Thank you to Acorn Studios (Kacey Baxter) for doing our photo session again!
Thank you to Sharon Lihou, NST and NHS Swim Mom, for putting together a wonderful gift basket worth $600 for the Newport Booster Auction Dinner for NST’s benefit. We earned $650 from the basket Sharon did last year. The Booster’s are generous and give back to our youth swim club during this event. We are hoping to contribute to the Dessert Dash as well! Haven't registered for the banquet yet? JOIN US! This year's event is Friday, November 10th at Newport Shilo Inn Ballroom. Get your friends and tablemates organized now as we have less event space than last year. PRO TIP: If you buy a table, fill in your guests’ names and emails so we can get them into our system and send important info about the event they definitely don't want to miss!
This year we are specifically using funds raised to improve the Newport High School track and field facilities including track cleaning and striping, new long jump pits, shotput area, and many other fixes as Newport High School is hosting its first District track meet in 16 years. It's a long overdue endeavor and we are hopeful that with your contribution we will be successful in raising our goal amount of $50,000.
This year's theme is "Booster Derby" so think big hats, racehorses, mint juleps, bow ties, and all things Kentucky Derby! Break out your Derby attire and join us for a super fun evening. It will be the same format as previous years where local restaurants will be preparing delectable small plates for dinner and all beverages on the house! We've added some fun additions to this year's event you don't want to miss!
