Team Communication

Effective communication between parents, swimmers, and coaches is essential in maintaining a successful team.  The NST board and coaching staff use a variety of methods to establish and maintain communication with parents and swimmers.  We always have the best intentions of keeping all members up to date and informed of club activities; however, we sometimes fall short in our efforts to communicate with so many people.  The more active a role the parents take in assuming responsibility for keeping informed, the more successful we will all be. Please ask questions!  Updated email and checking email is a must. These are the ways are teams communicate:

  • Coach Updates – These are emailed out.
  • Bulletin Board- There is a board located at the pool with upcoming events, etc. 
  • NST Website- www.newportswimteam.org
    • This is the hub of the club!  Everything you need to know is at the team website-calendars, event/meet signups, policies, etc.  
  • Board Members-  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any of the Board members.  Their names and e-mail addresses are posted on the website.
  • NST Facebook Pages –
  • SE Motion App-This app mimics parts of our website and has the same sign in.  It allows you to sign up for swim meets, event jobs, view and edit your account and has fun tools like a stopwatch, time converter and pace calculator.  
  • Meet Mobile App-This app is great for swim meet event information and results.  A must have!
