NHS Cubs brought home state titles for the boys’ and girls’ teams!  This was an amazing meet to witness with outstanding swims by all.  All qualifying state swimmers are current or former swimmers of NST! 

Individual Placings

  • Braylon Belloni-100 Breast-9th place!
  • Clyde Bretz-100 Fly-12th place!
  • Layla Bretz-50 Free-3rd place! 100 Fly, 2nd place!
  • Jahan Eibner-200 IM-5th place! 500 free-7th place!
  • Ivan Farias-100 Breast-2nd place!
  • Ben Hurty-200 IM-2nd place! 100 Back-1st place!
  • Pia Lihou-200 IM-9th place! 100 Back-8th place!
  • Ruby Perucci-200 Free-10th place! 100 Back-5th place!
  • Gwynn Postlewait-500 Free-6th place! 100 Breast-3rd place! (NEW NHS RECORD! 1:11.40- Prior record of 1.11.50 was held for 21 years by Katie Chapman!)
  • Sam Postlewait-50 Free-1st place! (NEW NHS RECORD! 21.46-Prior record, of 21.72, was held for 18 years by Michael Mpitsos!), 100 Free-1st place! (NEW NST RECORD! 46.58-Prior record, of 47.45, was held for 4 years by Caden Shanks!)
  • William Postlewait-100 Back-6th place!

Jack Sappington is a swimmer for NST, but swims for Tillamook High School.  He broke an NST record with his 100 Breast win at high school state, 1:00.27-Prior record, of 1:03.03, was held for 2 years by Sam Cortes!

  • Girl’s 200 Medley (Pia Lihou, Gwynn Postlewait, Hana Parker-prelim, Claire Hurty, Ruby Perucci-final) 2nd place!
  • Girl’s 200 Free (Ruby Perucci, Claire Hurty, Allison Pettett, Layla Bretz) 1st place!
  • Girl’s 400 Free (Gwynn Postlewait, Claire Hurty, Pia Lihou, Layla Bretz) 1st place!
  • Boy’s 200 Medley (Ben Hurty, Ivan Farias, Jahan Eibner, Braylon Belloni) 2nd place!
  • Boy’s 200 Free (Braylon Belloni, Grady Gibson, Ivan Farias, Sam Postlewait) 1st place!
  • Boy’s 400 Free (Ben Hurty, William Postlewait, Jahan Eibner, Sam Postlewait) 1st place!

Scores:

Boys won 1st place with 72 points, 2nd place was Catlin Gable with 47 points.

Girls won 1st place with 54 points, 2nd place was La Grande with 43 points.
