No practice on Friday & Saturday due to the Wray Open home meet.
Volunteer Sign Ups-We need to fill all volunteer positions and food donations for the Wray Open. If your swimmers is signed up for the meet, please take a moment and sign up. Everyone will be able to watch their swimmer race! You all need volunteer hours and this is why that program is set up. :) Food donation items needed are not viewable on OnDeck. Wray Open Home Swim Meet (Aug 26-28)-It is very important that all spots are filled. Please review and sign up. 
Bottledrop Earth Campaign starts today! Drop off those NST blue bags between now and May 4th to earn NST an additional 20% on can/bottle returns. Coach Shayna has more blue bags or email me.

UPDATE FROM THE LINCOLN CITY MEET
NEWPORT SWIM TEAM IN ACTION 4/22/24
Newport Swim Team sent 6 swimmers to the April Invitational Swim Meet in Lincoln City, March 19-21. A total of 8 Oregon teams took part with McMinnville SC sweeping the girls and boys team scores. NST took 6th in the girls and 7th in the boys, with all the boys points scored solely by 12 yr old Dylan Gibson.
Dylan had an excellent meet with 4 personal best times out of 5 total swims and taking 4th place in the 50 Butterfly and 100 Freestyle in the 11-12 Boys division. 7 yr. Old Olive Mitchell also had an excellent meet with 3 PR’s out of 3 swims and a first place in the Girls 8 & Under 25 Backstroke, and a 3rd in the 10 & Under 50 Back. Ashlyn Conrad recorded 3 PR’s out of her 4 races. 8 Yr. old Helen Faber recorded 2 PR’s and a 3rd place finish. 12 yr. old Skyla Chen had recorded a 3rd and 4th, racing in the Open division (which meant all ages). 14 yr. Old Hana Parker recorded 2 4th places out of her 2 races. Collectively, the NST kids recorded 13 PR’s out of a total of 21 races over the weekend.
NST is next in action this weekend at the Wray Open here in Newport April 26-28.
