Swim-a-Thon

Another great NST Swim-a-Thon!  Way to go Swimmers!!! Thank you to all the parent volunteers for helping with lap counting and bringing snacks.

NST has raised over $10,000 so far. Last day to hand in funds will be Tuesday May 28th. They can be given to Coach Shayna anytime between tomorrow and the 28th.

I have given Coach Shayna the lap count along with the comparison from last year if swimmers are interested.

For those swimmers that missed yesterday, laps can still be done at practice. Please coordicate with Coach Shayna.

Atrium use

The Rec Center has granted NST use of the atrium walk way ONLY if we station someone there everyday to monitor the door.  This person would sit in the Rec lobby next to the atrium door entrance to let in NST swimmers/parents only.  The estimated time frame would be 3:15-5:45. This would only be an option if we are able to staff this everyday with a volunteer just like we are currently doing for Monday's.

We are unsure this is a possibiltiy.  I need your feedback.  We understand this would be easier for parent's especially, but if we do not have the volunteer everyday then we need to use the locker room entrances.  Please respond to this email if you would be able to make it an option for NST to use the atrium.

There is planning underway for the Rec to install an automated system to allow the front desk to open the atrium doors.  There is not a timeline in place, we will need to be patient, but it is in the works.
