Seahorse Invitational-Home meet August 9-11
- Registration for swimmers is open and posted
- Hospitality Committee-Sharon Lihou has been managing our meet hospitality for many years. Her daughter has graduated and is moving on to college. We need a new hospitality chair or committee to take over for Seahorse Aug 9-11. Planning for this starts early. Hospitality is our thank you to coaches and officials (volunteers) for coming and working our meets. We serve dinner on Friday night, breakfast and lunch on Sat and Sun, and provide timers with snacks. Hospitality is an expectation and an essential part of swim meets. We are known to provide excellent hospitality. I feel this is a better fit for a committee rather than one individual. Sharon said she would meet up and help. It is time to pass on this role. We have menus that can be used. There are some items to ask for donations from the community-ex, pizza, chowder, Yummy Bowl noodles. I have donation letters for this. The main tasks are organizing the menu, deciding on what to ask for donations, providing me with the rest to ask for from the team for sign ups. The rec center sets up the room. It is the committee's job to accept/pick up food if needed, and organize it for meals. The team owns tablecloths. You are not in the room all the time. You will not miss races! Please consider helping. Let me know if you have any questions and if you can help.
Swim conference sign up and more information coming later this week! Conferences will be held before Seahorse.
