Registration and Practice Changes
Hello!

Registration is now open for the 2024-2025 Season. www.newportswimteam.net
- Please do not create a new account. Sign into your current account on the website before clicking the "Registration" button which can be found on the home page. Scroll down to find it.
- If your screen has the black menu on the left, click on the" View team website..." link on the bottom of that menu. Then once on the home page you can scroll down for the Registration button.
- Once you click on the Registration button you add the group your swimmer is currently in, unless have told differently, and then "Add it to the Cart". Click on the cart and follow the prompts.
- The Athlete Code of Ethics and the Parent Code of Ethics have been updated. Please review.
- For current swim members, USA Swimming registration does not expire until 12/31/24. You can update that registration anytime between now and then. Here is the link. You can also log into your current USA Swimming account and upgrade there.
Practice changes
NST was recently notified from the Newport Aquatic Center that, starting in October, they would not be able to be open for us on Monday’s due to staffing. There's no official date set for when Monday practices will resume.
NST had already decided to add the Senior Tuesday and Thursday morning practices (6:15-7:30). We have inquired about adding Wednesday morning specifically for Gold & Seniors. SATURDAY AND MORNING PRACTICES DO NOT START UNTIL OCTOBER. We will keep you updated.
As of now, there are no changes in increases or decreases in dues. Dues increases have been under review by the board since July. There has not been a dues increase for many years, but the team continues to have increased pool and operating expenses every year. With the news of no Monday’s, the board put a hold on increasing dues.
We've been able to reinstate an hour practice slot for our Bronze 1. That practice will be at 3:45-4:45.
September 16-20-Group practice with open tryouts- 4:00-5:00, Senior 5:00-6:00
September 20-Parent meeting-6:00
September 23-27-Normal practice.

Volunteer Service Obligation Update
- Help with Newport High School home swim meets.
- Limited Hours: Families can only fulfill half of the expected volunteer hours through NHS service. The remaining hours will need to be served for the club.
