Volunteer Needs
Newport Harbor Triathlon
We need 6 more volunteers for the Newport Harbor Triathlon this Sunday. NST is in charge of the counting laps for swimming portion that is at the Newport Aquatic Center. There are 3 heats of 500 free for the adult division and a couple heats of 50/100 free for the kids' division. Easy duty.
Arrive by 7:30 a.m., should be done around 11:30 a.m.. Half of the volunteers could leave after the adult division.
There will be food and refreshments provided for all volunteers after the race at Bier One (all ages are welcome). There will be live music, and 21+ will receive a free beer token.

Booster Auction Baskets
We need someone to take lead on organizing two auction baskets (NST & NHS Swim) for the Fall Booster Auction. We have a parent that has started gathering donated items.
Notes from Auction Organizer, Kymber Walker:
- Basket valued at around $500,
- 100% of funds raised for your basket will go directly to your team!
- To streamline our efforts this year, I’ve attached a Google Sheet for you to record where you have requested donations. This will help us avoid multiple teams approaching the same businesses, reducing the chances of overwhelming our local sponsors. Please take a moment to fill in the sheet as you reach out for donations. GOOGLE LINK
- Please remember that the deadline to turn in baskets is **October 15, 2024**.
- Once your basket is ready, kindly email me so we can arrange for pick-up or drop-off. The auction is a great opportunity for us to raise funds to support our athletic programs, and your collaboration is essential.
Halloween Party
The NST Halloween Party is scheduled for Monday, October 28, 4-6 pm., at the Embarcedero room. We are looking for a parent(s) to plan and organize the party.
