Our Organization
FAST swim team is a year-round competitive USA Swimming program serving the St. Louis, St. Charles, and Western Illinois area of the country that was founded in 2003. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, with club membership composed of parents and guardians of FAST swimmers at all levels of our program. FAST believes in Fun And Stroke Technique at all levels of our program building a tradition of aquatic excellence by focusing on the development of all swimmers of all ages and abilities. We believe in teaching the whole child, socially, mentally, and physically, and we believe that every person should learn how to swim as a life skill, but swimming FAST is a different pursuit for different people. FAST is very aware that each of our swimmers has different goals; whether it’s to qualify for Region VIII Sectionals, Central Zones, or just simply try an event for the first time, each swimmer receives personalized attention at practice everyday to help achieve those goals.
FAST Swimmers are:

FAST is dedicated to enabling youth to learn how to swim
FAST accommodates all children regardless of swim level, disability or specific needs. FAST strives to reach youth not only to teach them how to swim, but to hopefully create lifelong swimmers.
FAST builds champions in life and in the pool
The sport of swimming provides its participants with the tools needed to become a champion in life. Every day, our members learn the lifelong skills of personal responsibility, time management, perseverance, dedication and the resilience that extends past the boundaries of the pool deck and into the home, classroom, and office. Children who swim are more likely to be healthy, have positive self-esteem, and make friends. They are apt to excel in school, at work, and in life.
Our Swimmers
Our team is made up of athletes ranging from entry-level swimmers all the way up to regional competitions and supports an adult Masters program. Swimmers on our team wear their team apparel at meets with an average of at least 500 families in attendance through the St. Louis area, Western Illinois, Columbia, Missouri, and Central Indiana among other areas of the US. The kids also wear their team apparel at their schools and around town and on vacations; FAST team apparel is part of their daily wardrobe.
Our Coaches
FAST’s coaching staff has a wealth of experienced coaches who range from collegiate coaching experience to new coaches we bring on and develop. All of our coaches have had swimming experience at the USA club level and had collegiate swimming careers at their respective schools. FAST has a staff of 20 coaches which each give a wide range of teaching styles and ideas that develop our swimmers into FAST swimmers and our coaches into FAST coaches.

FAST has a total of 7 championship meet shirts per year.
Annual shirts are printed in August of each year for the upcoming season which runs September through July.
Name logo image files in Vector format are preferred; if Vector file is not available, send what image file you have, and our printer will create the Vector file for shirt printing. Images for the website and social media posts are preferred in a typical image file format.
