I DO HAVE SOME SHOES IN STOK ~ both NEW and USED ~ I CAN size your dancer for shoes quickly during class-time!  Not a problem.  Please don't buy shoes from Walmart/Amazon.   We have specific shoes.   I will size your dancer for SHOES, they'll go home with them that day if they're in stock/used, if not I'll let you know what size to order! ;). I have made all shoes required, so they will pop up on the list first (that was confusing to some before...problem fixed!). But do know, if you have shoes from last year that still fit <---you can start the year with those! If you're NEW to MDDU, you must order shoes through US not Amazon or Walmart, PLEASE <--they are totally different shoes! For example: we do split-sole ballet & no strings...they tend to get in the way with little ones! The following is the proper dancewear & footwear that MUST be worn to every class-no jewelry is to be worn.
We believe that strict adherence to the dress code promotes the proper discipline, attitude and performance in dance class.  A dressing room will not be available (a restroom is available). Dancer must show-up to class wearing dress clothes (warmer layers may be worn over to begin class). Dancewear may be purchased through us, Walmart, Amazon, etc. DANCE SHOES MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH US! HAIR:  must be worn pulled back with bangs and stray hair slicked back and pinned away from the face. A bun is not necessary, but we love a good bun! :)


BOYS:

Twinkletoes:     *30 minute class

Pre-K:     *40 minute class

Any “dancewear” outfit (skirts are ok), tights (pink, white, or tan) and pink no-tie ballet shoes & shiny black buckle/velcro tap shoe   *PLEASE ONLY ORDER DANCE SHOES THROUGH US   Pre-K will need Tap Shoes as well       A "Dance Bag" into the dance room with all their shoes and for them to change their shoes into. 

 

Kinderdance   *50-minute class =  Tap, Ballet

Any solid color leotard, convertible (pink, white, or tan) tights, pink no-tie ballet shoes & shiny black buckle/velcro tap (shiny tap for Kinderdance;) barefoot for Acro.  Ballet skirts are optional. Dancer needs to bring A "Dance Bag" into the dance room with all their shoes and for them to change their shoes into.  *PLEASE ONLY ORDER DANCE SHOES THROUGH US

Combo 1 :  *60-minute class =  Tap, Ballet, & Intro to Jazz

Any solid color leotard, convertible (pink, white, or tan) tights, pink ballet slippers & slip-on tap boot for Tap. Barefoot for Acro.  Ballet skirts are optional. Dancer needs to bring A "Dance Bag" into the dance room with all their shoes and for them to change their shoes into.  *PLEASE ONLY ORDER DANCE SHOES THROUGH US

 

Combo 2:  *75-minute class =  Tap, Ballet, & Jazz

SHOES:
Shoes worn for dance classes should NOT be worn outside of the studio.  And street-shoes are not permitted in the dance studios.  We have an online store to purchase MDDU approved Dance Shoes, Dancewear, and Tights.  We also have some shoes in stock, as well as tights always in stock!   Please DO NOT purchase dance shoes at Walmart,  Amazon, etc. — they will not match our styles.
