NNA Families,
We have several important updates for everyone so please read carefully.
Reno Gamble swim meet recap.
Great job to our whole team. I think that we swam better than all of the other teams that competed. We had time improvements from nearly everyone and several new qualification times for our end of the summer meets. Great jobs to our kids going to their first meet. Clara, Tilie, and Shepherd Allen, Braxton and Gemma Macon, Sophia Temple, and great job to Eve O’Mara and her first 500 free. The full results can be seen on Meet Mobile. Remember that not all the results are official. They may take some time to make it officially into the USA swims database. So please be patient.
Thursday, June 24th. We will have two events. Number one is the Carson Novice meet. It will be in the afternoon at 4:00pm (meet sheet attached).
Number two is a team movie night at the drive in movies in Sparks. We will be watching F9. The fast and the furious franchise ninth installment. The movie is PG-13 and it will start at 8:55pm so please only have children that are at least 13 years old or ones that are accompanied by an adult attend. You can pay to enter and we will all park next to each other. We then get camping chairs and sit next to each other outside. Bring your own snacks or buy them at the theater.
Saturday June 26th. We will have the NNA novice meet up in Incline. Warmups will start at 4:00pm. (meet sheet attached) The meet will be up at the Incline pool and you can enter the day of the meet when you get there.
Team T shirts. Please order our team t shirts as soon as possible. They are going to be used for volunteers this summer and our swimmers for out team pictures. Here is the link. https://www.customink.com/g/gan0-00cf-87n1
Team Pictures. They will be the evening of July 15th. We will be wearing our new team shirts.
NNA Silver State Championships. Our big meet of the summer is right around the corner. We have our special events meeting with the City of Reno tomorrow and then we should be good to go. Please take a look at our meet sheet, which is attached. We would like EVERYONE to sign up and volunteer for our big event. There will plenty of people needed to run the event. It will be very similar to the meet this weekend. Parents and people not directly involved with the meet will have limited access to the pool area. But volunteers will be able to be on the deck and get a great seat to watching their swimmers compete. Everyone who signs up and commits to volunteering for the meet will get a free team t-shirt. (please see above) There will be athletes from all over coming to race at our meet.
