Head Coach Mike Smith Is Back For 2 Years!

It's with great pleasure from the Board of Directors at Chinook that we announce that our Head Coach Mike Smith will be coming back for both the 2024 and 2025 season! Congrats Mike!

Mike has been with the club for a number of years and most recently took on the Head Coach job last year. He has led our team in many qualifying and non-qualifying meets, traveled with our swimmers to pivotal meets for their swim careers, and has year after year built a strong cohesion amongst our swimmers to best represent what it means to be a part of Chinook. Additonally he has built a positive culture with our families in making them feel welcomed at Chinook. 

Going into the next couple of years, the Board and Mike are committed to enhancing the Chinook experience and helping to further develop our swimmers to advance within our age groups and into way catered to specifically goals they want to achieve as swimmers. Mike and the coaching staff will be working more directly with swimmers to best understand their goals but highly encourage swimmers to reach out to their coaches and share any small or large goals they want to achieve.

We are very excited to have Mike back and we look forward to a great 2024 year ahead. GO CHINOOK!
