Summer construction heats up with big closure of westbound I-90 in July 18th-25th MERCER ISLAND – Puget Sound area drivers who want to avoid getting burned this summer should start planning now as a big highway preservation project kicks off in July. One of the biggest highway construction closures of the summer is scheduled to begin in mid-July when westbound Interstate 90 near Mercer Island is reduced to just one lane around-the-clock for seven days. PDST swimmer Nathan Shao was selected into Zone Diversity Camp which will be held June 26th-June 29th at Hayward, CA. Congratulations to Nathan for the selection into Zone Diversity Camp.

Four PDST swimmers, Amy Tang, Delora Li, Matthew Xie and Nathan Shao will attend 2014 PNS Catch the Spirit Camp this weekend at Bainbridge Island. This year’s camp gathers swimmers from more than 22 different clubs in PNS, ages 11-14. The camp offers valuable information and motivation that a swimmer can use in all facets of your life, and share with the teammates at home. PDST's first college bound swimmer Jason Xu has decided to attend Pomona College in southern Califorlia this fall. Jason will join Pomona College swim team after finishing this season at PDST. Congratulations to Jason as he prepares to take the next step in his education and swimming also wish him the best with the remaining season at PDST.

PDBC/PDST are pleased to annunce PDST annual picnic party will be held on June 15th, Sunday, 2014 4PM-8.30PM at Crossroad Park, Bellvue ( 16000 NE 10th St.). In the just completed 2014 Northwest Age Group Regional Championship (3/20-3/24) held at King County Aquatic Center PDST scored 265 points and placed 6th place out of 114 scoring teams from 7 different states. This is the second year that we finished 6th at this meet and is truly an outstanding achievement.
