Spring Showdown Results
The first of three championship meets concluded yesterday at KCAC. Lots of exciting swims with the new Spring Showdown meet. We had a lot of swimmers that got to experience second swim opportunities after their preliminary races during the meet. We also had a couple of swimmers who picked up their first regional cuts during the meet as this was the last chance to qualify for Regionals in two weeks. There were 170 best times, 1 new silver time, 18 new gold times, 5 new NW Age Group Regional swims and 1 new Sr Western Zone swim at the meet. Congrats to Abby, Haolin, Julia, Connor and Dexter for placing first in the evening finals. We had 33 athletes who qualified in at least one final and had the opportunity to race again in the evening. The clock is counting down to our last two big meets for the spring. If you want to watch some fast senior swimming take another trip down to KCAC this week and then the premiere age group meet the following weekend. All of your hard work is about to pay off.
