2023-24 FINANCIAL, VOLUNTEER and FUNDRAISING COMMITMENTS

Issaquah Swim Team operates on a defined annual budget which is approved by the general membership. Expenditures and income are budgeted once a year based upon an estimated number of swimmers and the expenses necessary to support that number of swimmers.

Training fees are paid in monthly installments from September through July, with billing occuring on the 1st of each month. No training fees are assessed for the month of August.

MULTI-SWIMMER DISCOUNT

IST offers a multi-swimmer fee discount to families with more than one athlete. Families with multiple swimmers will pay 100% of the cost for the swimmer at the highest fee set, 90% of the cost of the swimmer in the next highest fee set and 80% of the cost of the swimmers in the next highest fee set. Steelhead swimmers do not count as additional swimmers.

In addition, IST has an annual family maximum training fee amount of $6800 (including Steelhead swimmers).

VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT

IST is dependent on the support of its membership to assist the team in hosting meets, organizing social events, serving on the Board of Directors, and many other areas that contribute to the success of our swimmers. As such, all families are required to complete a minimum number of volunteer service hours in pursuit of these aims. The total number of hours varies depending on when a family joins the team, their experience with USA Swimming, and the training group in which their athlete participates. More details can be found in our Information Packet while a complete overview of requirements is available in the Volunteer Service Hours Policy.

FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT

Each member of Issaquah Swim Team must contribute to the annual Swim-a-Thon. Multi-swimmer families have reduced amounts for each additional swimmer on their account up to a set maximum. IST families are also required to purchase Brown Bear Car Wash tickets during registration. More details can be found in our Registration Information Packet while a complete overview is available in the Fundraising Policy.
