Sockeyes Selected for 2022 PNS Age Group Zones Team

Pacific Northwest Swimming recently announced team selections for the 2022 Age Group Zones team to represent the LSC at this year's Western Zone Age Group Championship meet to be held in Elk Grove, CA. IST is thrilled to share that six athletes made the team, and one of our coaches will also be part of the coaching staff.

MADISON CHAN will compete in the 11-12 age group, while SADYE DERSTADT, MIRA GUO, AARON BELL, COLE CANADAY, and BRETT WANG will compete in the 13-14 age group. Coach NATE MCKAY will serve as an Assistant Coach on the Zones Team Staff.

The Zones Team is limited to no more than 80 total athletes across girls and boys in the 10&U, 11-12, and 13-14 age groups. In order to be considered for the team, swimmers must achieve a qualifying time in at least one event. Applicants are then ranked based on their respective times and number of events qualified, relay scoring potential, championship meet experience, IMX and PowerPoint scores in order to ensure the strongest possible team.
