2022 Age Group Seattle Open

AGE GROUP SEATTLE OPEN

On June 15th-16th, IST athletes and coaches traveled to the Colman Pool in West Seattle for the Age Group Seattle Open. This competition was ISTs sixth meet of the 2022 LC season and the second we have attended at Colman. 

 

82 athletes attended this meet. This competition represented the last chance for age group athletes to achieve championship meet time standards. As we approach the end of the season, meets like these provide the opportunity to refine race details and incorporate adjustments from previous meets. 

 

Our age group athletes have had plenty of meet experience this season and it showed this weekend! Swimmers were promptly behind the blocks before warm-ups and races, demonstrated excellence while executing race strategies, and communicated with the coaching staff before and after every race. Every athlete in attendance that embodied these qualities shows excellent preparation and dedication going into the final portion of our season!

 

IST athletes achieved 105 best times, swam 42 first time events, and dropped a total of 352 seconds!
