2022 IST June Open Meet Recap

2022 IST JUNE OPEN

On the weekend of June 25th-26th, IST athletes and coaches traveled to the Snohomish Aquatic Center for the 2022 IST June Open. This competition was ISTs fourth meet of the 2022 LC season and the second meet we have hosted this summer.

IST was well-represented at this competition with 167 athletes attending! Athletes set themselves apart as a host team, not only while racing, but by promptly arriving at the facility both days of the meet, showing Sockeye Spirit while waiting for events, and showcasing fantastic warm-up habits. After attending three long course meets this summer, several athletes remarked how nice it was to feel closer to the walls again in a short course competition.

Calliope Kim and Nathan Headon-Weeks achieved Futures cuts in the 100 BR with times of 1:05.14 and 57.94! 

IST athletes achieved 560 best times, swam 99 first time events, and dropped a total of 1,846 seconds!
