Charles Lee Commits to Purdue University

CHARLES LEE COMMITS TO PURDUE UNIVERSITY

Charles Lee, a member of the Nationals training group, two time Swimmer of the Year Award winner, and Junior Nationals qualifier has committed to attend Purdue University in the Fall of 2024.

Charles began his time with IST in August of 2018. In the time since, Charles has competed and excelled at a multitude of meets including LSC Championships, Age Group Regionals, Sectionals, Futures, and most recently at Junior Nationals. In addition to his competitive prowess in the United States, Charles has also represented Taipei City internationally. In October, Charles placed 8th in the 200BR at the Taiwanese National Championships.

Charles on why he chose Purdue: “I chose Purdue because I felt a great connection with the coaching staff, the members of the team were extremely welcoming, and the team culture was awesome! When I went for my visit, it was a place and a team I could see myself being a big part of for 4 years. Purdue has the type of program that I’m looking for, both athletically and academically. I’m excited to be a Boilermaker - Boiler Up!”

Charles will contribute to the Boilermakers immediately with his 54.75 100BR, 2:00.07 100BR, 49.83 100FL, 1:54.05 200FL, and 48.40 100FR. Charles' best times in the 200BR and 100BR would be the second and third fastest swims by a Purdue Boilermaker this year.
