This Week:

Sun, 12/14: RSVP REQUIRED- Blue, Bronze, Silver, and Gold swimmers will have a special combined practice at Mills College from 8:00-10:00 on Sunday, December 14th. (Green swimmers are also welcome but are subject to the $25 drop-in fee.) Come celebrate a successful first chapter of swim season together, and meet some new PST friends for 2026!

• Please RSVP on our website by Monday the 8th so that the coaches can organize special activities based on projected attendance.

12/12-14: 14 & Under Winter Under Age Group Champs (host: SRVA). Meet is open on FastSwims. All qualifiers need to attend.

Practice Etiquite for Parents

The Board and Coaches welcome parents on deck during practices. That said, during practice our coaches need to give 100% of their attention to our swimmers. To that end we ask that parents remain in the designated viewing areas while on deck as follows:

Montclair Swim Club: the chairs along the fencing and the highest upper deck

Emeryville:  the tables on the apartment side of the pool

Mills/Northeastern: the tables at the very front and the tables at the very back

Holiday Dine and Donate!

Join us for a pre-holiday team social at Super Duper Burgers at the Emeryville Public Market on Tuesday, December 16th from 3 - 10pm. All swimmers and families from all groups are welcome. Present this flyer and our team will get 20% back on all purchases. 

*This is NOT a drop off event. Swimmers must be supervised by an adult. 

*Please pay your own way for all food and beverages!

*Present the flyer for your purchase to count towards our fundraiser. Paper flyers are preferred and will be handed out at practice and at the door.

*Happy hour is from 4 - 6pm. Free fries with the purchase of a beer.    

*Coordinate on WhatsApp for group specific meet up times. Staggering arrival times with younger groups earlier is advised!

We hope to purchase a team membership to SwimStrong Dryland this season. This training platform provides access to world class dryland programming for every age group, appropriate to each group’s stage of development and skill levels. Coaches, parents and swimmers will gain access to educational content on nutrition & wellness, and sport psychology.

Make a Splash at the team event of the season!

Sunday, March 1st, 4 - 7pm

at Piedmont’s Veterans Memorial Building.

PST Families and friends of the team are invited. Tickets go on sale in early January.  

Join us for dinner, an ice cream truck, carnival-style games, raffle prizes, and a silent auction. 

We are looking for Silent Auction items from our community. Some ideas include: hosting a ticketed party for a small number of swimmers or parents; putting together a swimmer psych gift basket; donating goods or services; and mentoring with a senior swimmer.

This Week's Top Tip!

A few tips to help meets go smoothly:

1. Arrive early enough for your swimmer to check-in as they arrive at the meet. Forgetting to check-in can result in not being allowed to swim. (Don’t forget a sharpie so that they can write their event numbers on their hand!)
2. When heat and lanes are posted, have your swimmer write these on their hand next to their event number, and then have them head straight over to give this information to their coaches. 
3. Swimmers need to check in with their coach straight after each event.

Our Days Off:

All of our Coaches have days off, and during those days, they will not check their work messages. We aim to respond to emails within 48 hours; however, please be patient if we don’t.
