Coaching Staff

   Anise Foreman  Head Coach/Owner

ERSC owner and head coach, Anise Foreman, is a dynamic entrepreneur, accredited executive coach, and passionate mental health coach who makes impactful strides in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Anise´s swim journey began as a toddler when she became the faithful work companion of her father-coach and ERSC founder, Elvin Foreman. Growing up in the pool exposed Anise´s natural athletic abilities very early in life. Then, her impeccable resilience, work ethic, and sportsmanship sealed her destiny as a highly accomplished and record-setting high school swimmer. From Charles County SMAC to Northern Virginia Summer League, Anise´s swim power and love for the sport were appreciated (and even feared!) across state lines. These qualities led the way to her next phase as a D1 collegiate swimmer and Swim Team Manager at Bowling Green State University. During this time, she earned the “Maritza Correia McClendon Award” – a distinguished accolade presented to athletes of African and/or Hispanic descent who demonstrate exceptional efforts and achievements in USA Swimming.

Post-college, grappling with personal family challenges, Anise fallowed her passion for swimming and ventured into coaching, joining her father's swim team. Just like it happened in her swimming career, her innate coaching abilities, combined with her fervent dedication and remarkable strength, quickly transformed her into a highly sought-after coach in the DMV area. In her roles first as assistant coach and then as head coach, she led the KSC summer team, clinching the Prince Mount Swim League Championship for two consecutive years. Her prowess caught the attention of USA Swimming, leading to her recruitment to coach talented young athletes at the USA Swimming Diversity Select Camp in Florida.

In her current role as owner and head coach of Elite Rays Swim Club, she offers a novel approach in Competitive USA Swimming, Learn-to-Swim programs, and Master swimming in the DMV, focusing on shifting mindsets from traditional repetition to thriving physically, mentally and socially. Her fast-growing program is designed to nurture and guide young athletes from developmental swimmers into full-blown competitive powerhouses. Her club has a track record of training some of the fastest swimmers in USA Swimming. During the pandemic, Anise played a pivotal role in keeping her swimmers mentally and physically engaged, achieving remarkable results.

Expanding her coaching vision beyond swimming, Anise obtained her executive coaching credentials from The American University. From this angle, she also aims to leverage her vast swimming experience to assist professionals seeking to succeed in various fields.

In addition, her interactions with neuro-diverse individuals and her deeply rooted faith have further fueled her commitment to mental health advocacy. To that end, she has recently launched SwimTruth, an organization dedicated to guide others towards physical and spiritual healing, using the therapeutic qualities of water. Coach Anise´s multi-faceted approach to the world of swimming, makes her club one of the most attractive and well-rounded boutique competitive swim programs currently available.
