Special Pool Closings
- The pool will close at 4:00pm on the day of all home weekday swim meets and will not reopen. For Saturday home meets, the pool will be closed in the morning and will open at 1:00pm. Reminders of scheduled home swim meets will be emailed member account.
- The pool will close due to thunder or electrical activity and remain closed for 30 minutes following the last activity.
- The pool will also close if the forecasted air temperature or the actual temperature is below 65o F and the skies are cloudy/overcast or rainy. An email will be sent to member accounts when this occurs.
Guest Policy
- All guests must be accompanied by a member and signed in at the desk. All guests must also sign the waiver liability form.
- Guest Fees: A $5 per day fee will be charged at the pool for each guest. All guests must be paid for at the front desk upon entering the pool.
- Guest Limits: No member may bring more than 6 guests during one visit (unless you have reserved space at least a week ahead of time for a party). No adult individual may be a guest more than 6 times during the summer.
- An adult (at least 18 years old) must sign in all guests.
Pool Rules
Lifeguards are the authority on pool rules. Failure to comply with a lifeguard’s request can result in the removal of the swimmer from the pool area. Other consequences may also be instituted where appropriate.
- No swimming in the main pool without a lifeguard on duty.
- Distracting the attention of a lifeguard is dangerous and prohibited. Please do not talk to guards when they are on the stands.
- Do not call for help unless you need it. A false alarm can result in time out of the pool for the first offense.
- No patrons allowed on the lifeguard stands.
- Adult supervision is required for all non-swimmers and children under ten years of age - no exceptions.
- Non-swimmers must stay in the shallow end, or stay in water that is no deeper than armpit level.
- A supervising adult must remain within arm's length of a young non-swimmer.
- In order to swim in the deep end, swimmers must pass the swimming test. If they fail, the swimmer must wait 24 hours before trying another test.
- Swim tests are normally conducted during adult swim, but can be conducted at other times if a lifeguard is available.
- A swimmer may be asked at anytime to retake the swim test.
- No floating aids or air mattresses (this includes water wings and rings). Coast Guard-approved life jackets are allowed.
- Instructional Floatation Devices (IFDs- such as noodles and kickboards) are for instructional use only, and should not be used in lieu of a Coast Guard Approved personal floatation device (PFD).
- Adult swimmers may use IFDs for lap swimming only.
- Dive mask, fins and snorkel use must be discussed with pool staff prior to use.
- Mermaid tails are not permitted (unless it is required for medical reasons).
- No paper diapers in the pool. Swim diapers or regular diapers with tight-fitting plastic pants are required.
- The wading pool is for children five years of age and under. All children in the wading pool must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
- No diving in the main pool. No flips or stunts off the side of the pool. Diving is only allowed in the diving well area.
- No rough play in the pool or on the pool deck.
- No running allowed on the pool deck.
- No skateboards or other wheeled toys may be used inside the pool fence.
- No eating on the pool deck, except where tables and chairs are located.
- No chewing gum allowed in the pool.
- No glass or metal objects allowed on the pool deck.
- No personal audio speakers are allowed.
- Only proper swimming attire allowed in pool.
- No hanging on lane ropes.
- Lap lanes are for lap swimming only. Patrons may not play in the fitness lanes.
- At least two lap lanes are open, with the exception of swim team practices and major holidays. When there are three or more swimmers per lane, swim should proceed in a counter-clockwise circle. With two swimmers, the lane may be split.
- No pets allowed inside the fenced pool area. Service animals are accepeted.
- Lifeguards may call an adult swim at 10 or 15 minutes before the hour at their discretion.
- Adult swim is for swimmers 18 years of age and older.
- Anyone abusing property may be denied use privileges and assessed values of the property destroyed. This includes flushing foreign items down the toilets.
- Lifeguards can bar habitual offenders from the pool for any length of time they deem necessary.
- Only authorized personnel are allowed in the pump room and snack bar.
- Please notify the lifeguard if you are in need of assistance or have any medical conditions (e.g., allergy to bee stings).
