Swim Team Family Fundraising Requirements

Please refer to this to understand if your activity can be counted towards your $300 swim team family fundraising requirement.


Items that Count 100%

  • Lap-a-thon pledges collected and turned in.
  • Cash donations made by you or solicited from family, friends, associates.
  • Auction: Credit for items donated to the auction will be based on the actual selling price
    at the auction regardless of its stated value (If a basket is worth $125 and sells for $75,
    $75 is the amount that is accepted.)  Credit for items will be allocated to one family
    only.  Also, services that are given to the Auction (such as babysitting, dog walking,
    private lessons) will be accepted towards fundraising requirements. The Auction
    Coordinator has final approval on all items that will be considered and accepted for the
    Auction. 
  • Business and Personal Sponsorship: Business sponsor or other donors are greatly
    welcomed! Please see the levels of Sponsorship. Needs to be coordinated with
    Fundraising Coordinator in advance and strongly suggest to receive in the beginning of
    swim season.
  • Snack Shack Venmo which will provide cash for the Snack Shack Coordinator to
    purchase goods for home meets is accepted and facilitated by Coordinator.

Items that Do Not Count

  • Purchases of YWST apparel
  • Purchases made from restaurant’s dine & donate or social fundraising events (like
    Kentucky Derby, Cornhole Tournament, Poker Night, Bunco)
  • Purchases made at the YWSC auction

Rules and Other Restrictions

  • Each family with a fundraising requirement must fulfill the obligation of $300.
  • If obligation is not fulfilled by the end of the season, the family will be billed and subject
    to future registration holds.
  • Excess fundraising from one family cannot be transferred or given as credits to another
    family that has not yet met their fundraising requirement with the exception of groups
    formed to run new approved fundraising activities. Credits can only be allocated to
    families who participated in and contributed to the new approved fundraising activities.
