OLD info below from the 2023-24 Season - Please Watch for Updates in August 2024. We are keeping some items intentionally so you know what to expect in advance for those new to the program.

All Boy Squads

  • Boys' Parent / Athlete Handbook (link)
  • Varsity Assessments/tryouts are TBD. JV is a no-cut sport. Seniors cannot be on JV.
  • Get your athletic clearance done (link) - paperwork must be completed + cleared by RJUHSD before any activity.
  • On Sundays, team parents will forward "Coach's Corner" for a run-down of that week.
    • If you haven't completed the "Athlete Registration" you may not be receiving these emails. ​
  • Coach D'Arienzo allows athletes to store their polo bags for the day (Rm 608). Be respectful of his classroom.
    • On game days - we suggest you have your polo bag on your person in case Coach has to leave early!
  • Download the SportsYou app - the code was emailed out by team parents (not posted intentionally). Athletes and parents/guardians are welcome to join the app. 
  • Missing practice, games, or tournaments - athletes should email their coaches in advance when possible (not team parents). So coaches know who can or cannot be at events.
    • JV: Write Coach D'Arienzo and assistant coaches

Games + Tournaments​

  • Schedule / Calendar (not active - old)
  • Early Release Schedule - if your athlete's squad is a 4pm/5pm AWAY game OR it's a Friday tournament - there's a likelihood for an early release which Coach D'Arienzo oversees.
  • Look at your schedule now and warn your teachers in advance of games + events. 
  • Volunteer Sign-Ups for games - posted in the "News" section

4th Period Athletes

  • 4th period P.E athletes (ONLY)
    • Please pack for practice - look to Coach D'Arienzo and Team Parents, Jen Newton (VB) and Kim Caveney (JVB) for direction.
  • Seniors - see the "News" section for the "Senior posters" photoshoot.

After School / JV Squad Practice

Items below are from the 2023-24 season and times could vary

  • Practices
    • ​JV Boys Practice (normal): 345-515pm (RIGHT after school - release is 320pm)
    • JV Girls Practice (normal): 415-6pm
    • New players for your practice: towel, suit, water, goggles.
    • New players: Coach D'Arienzo welcomes athletes BEFORE school to drop off their water polo bags at his classroom (right by the pool). Room 608.
    • Minimum day practice times - are TBD.

Our Aquatics Board volunteers work hard to provide the best experience for our athletes for this short and special time of their high school career. Our coaches are navigating multiple jobs and roles. If you see something that can be done better - please get involved on our board. We appreciate the help as volunteers.
