Weekly Head Coaching Email-Season Starts Next Week
Hey Sharks!
I hope everyone is doing well! Can you believe that our first preseason practice is next week? Me either! The coaches are excited for a great season and look forward to seeing everyone on deck next week. Below is some information I wanted to share for the next week before Memorial Day weekend. Remember the pool opens this Saturday. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Junior Coaching Expectations and Rules
We are still in need of Junior Coaches for the summer. Please let us know if you have any questions and are interested in joining. Below is all the information for Junior Coaching. This is a great way to get involved with the team if you ever want to coach, get a cool gift at the end of the season or get some volunteer hours!
Junior Coaching Expectations
- Get to practice 5-10 minutes early
- Before practice and whenever you are unsure of what to do, go ask your age group coaches what you can do to help with practice
- Get the swimmers to help and help with picking up kickboards and pull buoys
- If you are going to miss a Junior Coaching Session you must let your age group coaches know.
- If you fail to notify us that you are going to miss a junior coaching session three or more times, we will take you off the junior coaching schedule
- If you fail to go to at least 70 percent of your scheduled junior coaching sessions, then you will not receive a gift at the end of the season
- Before you start junior coaching I will let you know how many sessions is 70%
Junior Coaching Age Requirements
Must have completed at least your 8th grade school year.
Senior Families
- Please go to the All-City website and click on the senior tab, and fill out your information that you would like featured for All-City swim. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Practices
- Practices for the next 2.5 weeks will be after school. Reminder that we will not be having any Friday practices until we go to the morning.
- Here is a link to the practice schedule.
- No Shark Bites Practices until Wednesday, June 11th.
New Parent Meeting
- Next Tuesday, during practices, we will be having our new parent meeting at 6 pm under the canopy area. It is to your left as you walk through the breezeway. During this meeting, we will be talking about the season, how dual meets work, what is All-City, how to volunteer, and how to make this the best summer possible!
Dual Meets
- Dual Meet Files have not been uploaded but these will be done by this weekend, so you can sign up your swimmers for the Dual Meets this summer. Reminder to please sign up for your own races. You can always ask coaches for input, but if you do not put anything, we will assume that you want us to sign your swimmer up. Additionally, please put in the notes section if you plan on NOT swimming relays or just swimming one relay. No information in the notes sections of meets for your swimmer indicates they want to participate in both relays
Seminole Splash
- If you are looking for the Seminole Splash that Kathryn Kuehn sent out last month, here it is. It contains some important information for the season
