About Us

Core Aquatics, formerly known as WHAM Swimming and DUWP Water Polo, is a High School District 214 Community Education Program.

District 214 Community Education is one of the longest running public high school community education programs in the State of Illinois. Started in 1947, our program has had over 70 years of experience in bringing lifelong learning programs to the residents of Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, Elk Grove Village, Mount Prospect, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows and Wheeling.

Mission

District 214 Mission Statement
Our primary mission is to help all students learn the skills, acquire the knowledge, and develop the behaviors necessary for them to reach their full potential as citizens who can meet the challenges of a changing society. Our secondary mission is to provide residents with opportunities for lifelong learning.

Community Education Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide residents of all ages with meaningful experiences, exceptional enrichment programming, and personal enjoyment to create memorable and impactful opportunities for lifelong learning.

Core Aquatics Mission Statement
The Core Aquatics mission is to provide District 214 athletes with exceptional aquatics skills and year-round programming that promotes sportsmanship, fitness, personal responsibility, and fun for athletes of all levels.
