Registration for Summer 2024 is now open!

Happy Spring Break to the Ridgewood Barracuda Family.

Registration is NOW OPEN for the Summer 2024 swim season.

Welcome.  I am John Facciola, starting my ninth season as the head coach of this wonderful team of swimmers and families.  I cannot think of a better group of athletes and parents to work with.  It is an honor to serve as one of the leaders of this amazing team.

This year is particularly special because the Ridgewood Barracudas are celebrating their 50th year of competition in the Prince William Swim League.  We have exciting ways of celebrating this mliestone this summer, and we are looking to grow the program and to welcome all the returning swimmers and families back.

(1)  Registration

Please visit our website to complete the process.  There, you can register your swimmers, order t-shirts and get an overview of the season.  I just posted the meet schedule, which opens with Time Trials on June 8 and ends with (at our pool) the Divisional Championship meet at the end of July.

(2)  Summer Schedule

I know that parents are trying to organize their summers, so I want to be clear on the practice schedule.  It is the same as last summer, and it is posted on the website under the "Team Information" button.  We will start morning practices on Monday, June 10.  

(3)  Little Cudas Program

We will run three two-week sessions for our developmental swimmers.  We are not opening registration for that group yet.  We do plan on offering different times for the group this summer.  All LC practices will take place in the mornings, but we are still plotting it out.  The coaches will start assessments the first week of practice in late May, and we will have specific times decided before then.

(4)  Open House

Interested in trying on suits?  Want to see the coaches?  Need more information on registration?  Volunteering?  Please join us at Tall Oak Community Center on Sunday, April 7 from 2-4pm.  Riptide will be there to help you size the suits.  Coaches will be there to explain the program.  We will open a Barracuda Swag Shop soon for all team gear.

(5)  Call for Coaches

Coach Cameron and I want to meet with any swimmers who are interested in coaching this summer.  We want to set up a (very) informal interview.  Please contact me at the email below if you are interested in joining our summer staff.
