Extra Practices-Begins June 10
Once school gets out, the Barracudas will hold extra practices at the Oakwood Pool from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday. These extra practices are for swimmers who need to miss morning practice and must be pre-arranged with the Head Coach prior to attending evening practice, to ensure appropriate coaching staff and lane space for swimmers.
Practice Cancellations
If weather is questionable and you're wondering if practice has been canceled, our Facebook and Instagram pages and this website will be updated with any cancellations and an email will be sent out if practice is canceled in advance of the starting time.
Many times, practice will start, then have to be canceled for a number of reasons including thunder and lightning, water contamination, or an insufficient number of lifeguards. Make sure your swimmers know what to do in case of a cancellation during practice. Those swimmers who come to practice alone should have a plan for getting home. A Coach or Board Member will stay with a swimmer who is unable to get a ride; however, it is the responsibility of the swimmer to notify an adult of his/her situation.
