Rules and Regulations

Rules and Regulations governing Admission into Woodhaven (Club)

  1. Admission to the pool shall be limited to Members and their guests.
  2. Members of the Club in good standing may bring guests to the pool, subject to the guest fee(s) determined by the Board of Woodhaven.
  3. Guest fees are to be paid, or guest passes used, at time of guest(s) entry into the Club.
  4. The Member must be continuously present at the Club while their guests are present.
  5. No person under the age of 10 may be admitted to, or remain in, the pool area unless accompanied by a Member 18 years of age or older.
  6. Admission to the pool shall be refused to all persons having a contagious disease, infection, or condition which, in the Pool Manager’s discretion, presents a risk to the health and safety of others.
  7. Appropriate swimming apparel must be worn in the pool, as determined by the Pool Manager.
  8. The pool may be closed for maintenance, health conditions, weather, or any other reason deemed necessary by the Pool Manager.
  9. Any person entering upon Club property agrees to be bound by the Club Rules.

Rules and Regulations Governing Use of Pool and Pool Deck

  1. No swimming permitted unless a Club Lifeguard is on duty.
  2. Parents must closely supervise children at all times.
  3. There are no flips into the pool from the pool deck.
  4. “Breath Holding” is not allowed. Prolonged underwater swimming is not allowed.
  5. Non-swimmers or non-proficient swimmers should wear an approved PFD or life jacket.
  6. The safety of the children in the baby pool is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
  7. Running, rough play, piggyback games or horse play shall not be permitted in the pool area.
  8. Frisbees and hard balls are not be permitted in the pool area.
  9. Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, bikes (or other similar items) are not allowed on pool deck, tennis courts, or basketball court.
  10. Floating lane lines are used to establish lap lanes in the pool. These lanes are reserved for continuous lap swimming only.  Do not hang or sit on lane lines.
  11. Inflatables may be used at the discretion of the Lifeguards and/or Pool Manager.  The Club does not allow any flotation device distracting to Lifeguards or limits their view of the pool.
  12. Children who are not potty trained must wear swim diapers to enter the pool.
  13. There shall be an adult swim 10 minutes of each hour. Only those Members, or guests, 18 years of age or older shall be permitted to enter the pool during this time. Children 5 years of age or younger may accompany their parent.
  14. The consumption of food in the pool is prohibited.
  15. Drinks are permitted to be consumed on the pool ledge.  No drink shall be consumed in the pool unless drinking is confined to the pool ledge.  The Club does allow for drinks to be consumed in the pool (beyond pool ledge) during adult swim.
  16. No Weapons are permitted on the Club premises.
  17. Animals are not permitted in the pool area, except for service animals certified under ADA guidelines.  No pets or animals are ever allowed in pool.

Rules and Regulations Governing the Use of Diving Boards and Diving Well

  1. Sitting on the diving board is not permitted.
  2. Only one person at a time may stand on the diving board.  The next person in line must wait on the deck at bottom of board steps.
  3. When diving from the board, only one jump is permitted. Double bounces are not allowed.
  4. Diving shall only be permitted from the end of the diving board.  Diver must jump forward facing off of diving board and must jump straight off diving board (not toward side of pool).
  5. After diving the swimmer shall immediately proceed to the side of the pool nearest diving board and exit pool using the ladder.
  6. No goggles, flippers, life jackets, pool noodles, or flotation devices are permitted on diving boards.
  7. Parents may not catch children diving off boards.  (They may be in the water, on pool ledge, to assist their child after they jump off board).
  8. Swimming shall not be permitted in the diving well unless the Lifeguard has closed the entire area to diving.
  9. Running or horse play shall not be permitted on or around the diving board.
  10. The diving board may be closed at certain times at the discretion of pool staff to ensure pool safety.

Rules and Regulations Governing Personal Conduct on Club Property

  1. Entrance lane speed limit shall not exceed 10 mph and driver must exercise caution and drive with care on Club property.
  2. Parents have a duty to supervise their minor children and guests at all times while on Club property.
  3. The Pool Manager and Lifeguards have authority to enforce Club Rules and may command any individual on Club property to comply with Club rules.
  4. Club employees shall always be treated with respect. Disrespect or disobeying the commands of an employee may result in removal from Club Property.
  5. Members and guests using radios, phones, or other audio devices must use earphones.
  6. No glass items shall be permitted on Club Property.
  7. Woodhaven Members and guests of legal drinking-age are permitted to carry-in and consume alcoholic beverages. Consumption of alcohol shall be conducted safely and with courtesy and respect for Members, guests and pool employees. If you choose to drink, do so responsibly. Members and guests are requested to arrange for designated drivers as needed. Please avoid drinking and driving. Underage drinking is prohibited by law and shall be strictly enforced.
  8. No smoking, vaping, or use of tobacco products is allowed within fenced-in area of the Club, or within 20 feet of the main entrance.
  9. Personal conduct in and around the pool shall be such that the safety of the individual and others are not jeopardized.
  10. All trash and recyclable items shall be placed in the appropriate receptacles. Littering on Club property is prohibited.
  11. Running and rough play shall not be permitted.

Rules and Procedures Governing the Use of Club-owned Sporting Equipment

  1. The Club makes a reasonable effort to provide sporting equipment. This equipment may be borrowed by Members and their guests.
  2. The sporting equipment shall be kept at the front desk or other place designated by the Pool Manager and provided to Members or guests upon request.
  3. The pool staff on duty shall collect collateral of nominal value, $1 or shoe, before providing equipment to a Member or guest and shall not return the collateral until the equipment is returned.

Rules and Procedures Governing the Use of Shelter and Private Parties

  1. The Club Shelter may be reserved for private parties using the Club’s Shelter Registration Form.  No other area of the Club property may be reserved for the exclusive use of a private party.
  2. Only Members may place a Shelter Reservation.
  3. A Member is not able to reserve back-to-back, 3-hour time slots.
  4. A Member is limited to four active reservations.
  5. No reservations are permitted on Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day. At the discretion of the Pool Manager or Board President, an existing reservation may be changed or cancelled as necessary to accommodate a Club-sponsored activity which is published on the Club calendar.
  6. Prior to the conclusion of each reservation period, the reserving Member must promptly remove all belongings from the Reserved Area. Tables, benches, and grills must be wiped clean. All trash and recyclables must be placed in the appropriate receptacle.
  7. A Member may not host a private party consisting of more than 25 non-Member guests without the written approval of the Pool Manager at least one week prior to the date of the party.
