ERRA Barracudas

Our 2025 swim seaon officially wrapped up on Saturday, July 26th at the VSL Champsionship Meet held at JMU. Between the six VSL teams there were 436 swimmers, bumped up to 465 with the Piranhas participating. Overall it was a GREAT meet with some big time drops! Over the course of the day, our Barracuda swimmers swam a total 282 individual events with 202 BEST TIMES and over 450 seconds dropped! Congratulations to all the VSL swimmers who competed in the 2024 VSL Championship meet at JMU on July 27th. Lots of time drops and fun on deck! The 2023 VSL Championship meet went smoothly and couldn't have been done without the help of all of you. THANK YOU to every parent who stepped up to help out in some way either on deck or behind-the-scenes for the meet. Final results from the meet can be found HERE, but here are a few fun facts from the day: 81 swimmers 210 Races 130 personal best times 224.99 combined seconds dropped 99 top 8 finishes - 31 were 1st place! One record breaking relay!! Congratulations to everyone who participated!

Wednesday night, a team record that has been standing since 2008 was tied! At the Westover meet on July 5, 2023, Sophia Papa broke the 11-12 Girls 50 Breaststroke record, swimming a 39.24 SCM. The previous record was set by Jessie Arnold on June 24, 2008. Congratulations, Sophia - and good luck the rest of the season as you work toward owning that record!

Wedneday, July 5th we met with the Westover Waves on deck for another great meet! Final score - Westover: 179 | ERRA: 407.
