summers. He will be on deck every day with the 15&up as well as
at evening practices and meets. He will be consulting and
coordinating the coaching team. Ryne originally started as a Trails
swimmer at age six in 2000. He swam with Trails for
12 consecutive summers. You will see his name in the Trails
recordbook! Ryne swam on the varsity swim team at Jacobs High

Coach Mary is returning from last year and is excited to be the
11/12 age group coach.
Mary Jost is a Trails Alumni who swam for 12 years with Trails
since age 6. She also had many
successful seasons with Sage YMCA in the winter, including swimming
in high-level meets and
several State meets. She has particular expertise in Butterfly. In
addition, Mary is also an
accomplished ballerina with 13 years of dance experience and many
solos in numerous ballets.
She developed extensive knowledge of muscles and anatomy due to
ballet training in
conjunction with expertise in stretching and recovery, which she
applies to swimming in many
ways. Her extensive cross-training experience in both swimming and
ballet has given her a
unique combined understanding of the discipline, tenacity,
perseverance, and hard work it
takes to be a successful athlete. While Mary pays serious attention
to form and believes in
inspiring dedication and determination, she knows how important it
is for swimmers to
accomplish goals while having fun! She looks forward to sharing her
knowledge, teaching the
love of swim, and having great fun with swimmers.
Mary is taking a gap year and plans to attend college in the Fall.
In addition to her love of
swimming, she enjoys reading, art, and the great outdoors.
