Trails Swim Team is a fun & competitive outdoor summer swim program based in Algonquin, Illinois for swimmers of all abilities, aged 5-18. The goal of our community team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and have fun while achieving success at his or her level of ability, from novice to serious competitor. We swim at the lions Armstrong Memorial Pool on Longmeadow Dr from mid May to mid July.

We are a not-for-profit club, run by an elected Board of Directors which meets monthly. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraisers.Trails relies heavily on parent support and involvment to be successful. Parents are required to work a portion of every home meet in which their family participates.

The swim team is not part of a park district or other taxing body. our program is only partially funded by your registration fees. The fees you pay are applied to an extensive budget, which includes but is not limited to coaches salaries, pool rental, equipment, insurance, awards, meets and conference fees, alnog with other day-to-day operational costs. To meet the expense budget of this large team, additinoal fundraising is necessary each season. Parent support and participation is an integral part of our budget to meet our financial goals and help keep fees down while also providing a fun swim season for our athletes. Please reach out to the board if you have a fundraisnig idea or suggestion!

The Trails Swim Team is a member of the North Central Illinois Swim Conference (NCISC) with Cary Barracudas, Geneva River Rats, Huntley Hammerheads, Kishwaukee YMCA of DeKalb, Lifetime IL, Maguire Aquatics, Oswego Otters, Rock River Valley YMCA Rays, and Woodstock Dolphins..

Space is limited. In order to ensure our swimmers have the best possible experience in the water, Trails limits the number of swimmers in each age group. If you find the registration for your age group is full, please register to the age group waitlist so that we can let you know as soon as possible if a spot opens up! Your swimmer's spot is not guaranteed until the team has received payment.
