2013 Lowcountry Palmetto Championships held on Grand Strand The Myrtle Beach Riptides swim team hosted the 2013 Lowcountry Palmetto Championships March 22-24 at the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center. This was the second year the meet was hosted by the Riptides and was much larger than before. 2013 Auburn Southern Region Open Championships Four members of the Myrtle Beach-based Myrtle Beach Riptides swim team travelled to Auburn University for the 2013 Southern Region Open Championships. This was the inaugural year for the swim meet, which featured teams from Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina and Ohio. This was the first competition for the Riptides’ since the 2013 South Carolina State Championships just two weeks earlier. From Monterey, CA... Keenan Lineback (USD) competed in the 400 IM and set a blistering time of 4:18.91 to earn a spot as tonight's #1 seed! Keenan's time is also an NCAA D-I "B" standard, which means she could earn an invitation to the NCAA D-I National Championships.
